River City GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where technology professionals donate their time to provide solutions for local non-profit organizations. While we'd love to take credit for the idea, GiveCamp started in 2007; however Richmond hosted our first event in February, 2011. The event was such a success, we've decided to make GiveCamp an annual event. We're hoping to recruit about 100 developers, designers, and database administrators to donate time to create custom software applications for several local charities. These applications could include a new website, a small data-collection application, or even a simple customer relationship management tool. The only limitation—the project must be completed in one weekend!
